Common mistakes in JNV Class 9 preparation
Class 9 preparation fails in a few repeatable ways. None of them is fixed by more Class 6 mental-ability drills.

Preparing before you know there is a seat
The test is against vacancies. A district with no notified lateral entry does not become eligible because a batch has started. Read the notice, then build the timetable.
Using the Class 6 book
Figure series will not answer a Class 8 science item or a linear equation. If the only Navodaya book in the house is a mental-ability book, it is the wrong book for this paper.
Dropping a language
Merit in the 2027-28 prospectus uses the better language, but qualifying marks are still required in both. Ignoring English because Hindi is stronger, or the reverse, can miss the qualifying line even when the other scores look fine. The medium chosen on the form also cannot be changed later.
